THE PROCESS

Getting started takes three steps.

  1. STEP 01

    Have a free chat

Tell us what you want support to look like. We explain what may fit your plan, goals and service area.

  2. STEP 02

    Agree the support

We confirm tasks, timing, worker preferences, funding details and any safety considerations before support starts.

  3. STEP 03

    Start and review

Support begins at a pace that works for you. We check in and adjust when your goals, routines or needs change.

Funding and eligibility notes

  • Respite may be funded as short-term accommodation, assistance with daily life or social participation depending on the participant's plan.
  • We confirm support purpose, ratios, location, transport and out-of-pocket costs before bookings proceed.
  • Respite is not emergency accommodation, crisis intervention or a replacement for clinical care.

How we work with you

  • Plan breaks around the participant's preferences, communication needs and routines.
  • Support meaningful activities rather than treating respite as passive supervision.
  • Keep families informed according to the participant's consent and decision-making arrangements.

Rights, consent and safeguards

  • The participant's dignity, privacy and choice remain central during respite.
  • We document important routines, risks and contact arrangements before support starts.
  • Feedback from participants and carers is used to improve future respite planning.
